Re: I stink! (FML 24 Feb 1999) Mia, I can't believe the audacity of those people! How can they get away with being so insulting?! It hardly seems appropriate for them to lecture you because someone in the class lodged a complaint (especially after you took excessive steps to keep from offending anyone!). If it won't get you in trouble with your class, I'd just tell you to skip the precautions and cuddle your babies before class. I think that the strong smell of cigarette (or otherwise) smoke on clothing, or gallons of perfume, or plain old "eau-de-I-don't-shower" is MUCH more offensive than the smell of an animal (except maybe wet sheepdog, blech). Of course, I think barns and horses smell wonderful, so maybe I'm not the best olfactory judge around. :-) Anyway, I hope you know in your heart that those rude people were completely in the wrong. I hope things are okay in your class from now on. Re: Fleas Thanks so much to everyone who dropped me a line about flea treatment! I had numerous replies in my in-box by the time I woke up; just goes to show what "ASAP" means to this crowd! :-) I went with Frontline, and it seems to be working great. She isn't itching nearly as much, and it hasn't even been the requisite 24 hours yet! I'd recommend Frontline to anyone who has trouble with fleas. The vet let me buy one kitten-sized vial (since I only needed one drop, literally), and it cost a little less than $10. Not bad, considering multiple-ferret homes could treat several ferrets with one vial. (I gave my leftover to a fellow ferret owner here ... waste not, want not :-). -(TX) Meghan and Dervish the WonderFerret ("Mom, now that I'm flea-free can I go sing in that commercial with the kittens and puppies?")
