Melissa, Thanks for your post back! I skipped just about all of the "playing God" posts, so I missed the reference. I thought that it had to be in reference to something that I missed. I also think you made a good point about having spare copies of the FAQ for people without internet access. I find ferret awareness (in response to Mary's post back) all depends on where you live and what you have. I don't have cable so have never seen Animal Planet, so that reference meant nothing to me. Not all of the pet stores around me carry the same, if any, ferret items. Some do, some don't, some have *really* old stuff. Not all book stores have ferret books or carry Modern Ferret. I think it just depends where you live. I think experience is one of the best ways to help things change. Our two new babies, brought home last night, are full grown and came from the Raisin Retreat shelter! I felt much better about getting them from Linda than I would have from the pet store, at this point, since now I know of the shelters, where before I didn't. Mary, Pet stores don't need to have a "sound arguement" for carrying or selling anything. They're a business, out to make money. I find pet stores operated by people who truely love what they do are few and far between. The only one I've found where I live is the man who runs the saltwater fish/coral store where we get out stuff from. No ferrets, unfortunately. Thanks for the posts back! [Posted in FML issue 2529]
