Duck soup...never heard of it before until I joined this list, I am assumming it is for when your fuzzies get sick, will someone please send me the recipie. I feed chandler Iams kitten food mixed with fert food, he is only 9 weeks old now and I free feed, he was a little skinny when I got him last week, but the comments I have noticed lately were to feed only 2 to 3 times daily, does that apply to kits, also I have cats and their food is accessible to Chandler, and they eat Pro plan, I know he eats their food too because it is ALL OVER MY KITCHEN FLOOR. Is mixing like this not good for him? I have finally figured out his markings are panda markings, but he has the albino eyes. does that sound right for a panda marked fert? Also I Live in Washington, near the Seattle area, I know kits are getting harder to come by now until springtime, but I am looking for a "Phoebe" for a companion to Chandler, i will even get a older one (6mos to 2 years) I am relatively new to this state and do not know where to go. Chandler is from a pet store, and after reading comments on store bought Ferrets I have decided not to support pet stores who sell them, so if anyone know of a reputable breeder or rescue shelters please e-mail me with that information. I actualy live In Federal way, between Tacoma and Seattle. Also regarding cats and ferrets, I was EXTREMELY lucky, both my cats being indoor cats..2yearold and a 4 yearold, never really had a well honed hunting instinct..they knew Chandler was not a cat, they always hiss at cats, then they probably thought he was prey but quickly realized PREY DOES NOT CHASE YOU. The only thing I could do to protect chandler, was to clip kitties nails and OF COURSE supervise their interaction. in 2 days they were playing fabulously together. The cats learned quickly to step lively and never turn your back on a ferret, by the 3rd day Chandler was sleeping with one of them. I was thinking of still waiting for him to be a little older and at his full weight before EVER leaving them alone together..Does that sound about right, or should I never trust my cats? :( Thank you for any iput anyone might have.
