There are still 8 ferrets at the Friskey Ferret Shelter. Lorraine wanted to close at the end of November but we are having a difficult time placing the remaining ferrets. There have been a few posts on the FML about the ferrets and ads have been placed in local papers but not much response. The ferrets that are still at the shelter are biters and need to go to homes that can give them lots of love, attention, and patience. One pair needs special attention because Podo has insulinoma and is on prednisone, he likes to bite also, but his mate Kodo (female) does not bite at all, they are both 4 years old. These ferrets are free to anyone who is willing to take them in and work with them, and will be screened to be sure they are ferret knowledgeable and can give these ferrets the special care they need. I have been volunteering at the shelter for a while and I go almost every Saturday to see the ferrets and play with them, my heart goes out to these ferrets because they are good ferrets they just need some extra help and lots of attention. If I could have more ferrets I would take some of the ferrets at the shelter but I'm at my limit now. If anyone can help these ferrets in desperate need of homes, please call Lorraine at the Shelter 978-664-5006 or you can call me or e-mail me. I would be glad to help any way I can to get these fuzzies good homes. I have a list of the ferrets still there. Sandy, Lowell, MA 978-441-9920 [log in to unmask] [Posted in FML issue 2511]
