Hi, After reading the post from the ferret yesterday who got stuck in a glue trap, I wanted to let everyone know how dangerous they really can be, not to mention a very cruel way to rid your house of mice. Its possible for your ferret to get them stuck on their face and nose, causing much pain and possible suffocation. The DCon type of mouse bait poisons are very dangerous as well, as im sure common sense would dictate. The old fashioned spring style traps are of course, just asking for trouble, tragedy and vet bills. We've never had a mouse problem ( I often wonder if Paws, our houseferret is the reason for this ) in this house, but we did back in DC, and had great success using the Have-A-Hart style catch & release traps. On a totally unrelated note, our kids are growing the thickest, softest fur coats, and I too am wondering if we're going to have a really bad winter here in NJ.
