Hi All, First, I want to offer my sincere condolences to those of you who have lost little ones lately. Each post of a fuzzy death brings tears to my eyes and reminds me to give my guys some extra hugs and kisses. :,-( The post about playing and wrestling was cute. All our fuzzies are great warrior ferrets and I've noticed that our guys' wrestling tactics vary. When Sammi and Toby fight, whoever starts the fight usually is the "winner" ferret and the "victim" ferret tends to stay on the bottom and be dominated during the entire bout. Sammi is small and fast and can squirm out of any hold the boys try on her. Toby can wrestle longer than any of the others, outlasting any opponent who usually runs and hides from him until the fight is forgotten. Joey is deaf and is a head-butting wrestler. He can't hear the other guys "cry uncle" and every once in a while I have to break up a fight between Joey and Bandit when it gets out of hand (using 'Tone' to adjust those fuzzitudes). Bandit is the biggest bully during a fight, pinning his opponent, dragging them about and rarely losing a match. The wee weasels, Rascal and Rusty, wrestle more than any fuzzies I have ever seen! This is the 1st time we've raised 2 kits together and they sure know how to rock 'n roll! Rascal is very vocal and sounds like she is being killed, but when I attempt to rescue her from Rusty, she goes back for more. Rusty is quite fast and likes to run and tackle his victim, bringing them down before they know what hit 'em. :) Warrior ferrets are sooo entertaining! At our house, most of the time, play = getting into trouble. For play and getting into trouble antics, there's alot of: follow me thru the tube; pretend to enter the tube, but back up and attack the fuzzy on your rear; there's something in the tube *tail wag* and it's headin' this way; hot dog, a new box, and it has some cool stuff in it; wonder what's in the trash that smells sooo good, think I'll take a look; oh boy, a full dish of water and not a soul in sight; ooohhhh, what's that rat thing on the string Mom's flinging around, getit, getit, getit; Mom's dragging Joey around on the blankie again, let's go knock him off; I'll bet I can climb that briefcase, hoist myself onto the bar stool, get on the counter and steal that box of treats before Mom knows I'm in here; OK Joey, help me pry this door open, I saw some vcr tapes in here; dig right there in the corner Bandit, we almost have a big enough hole in the carpet to get under the door; OK, as soon as Mom opens the bathroom door, everybody rush it. Do they ever run out of things to do?!? :D The 'litter box shimmy' is something all our guys do and I'm wondering if other fuzzies do this. Just before entering the litter box, usually 1st thing in the morning, the fuzzy does a full body shimmy then gets into the litter box. Sometimes the shimmy is done while entering the box or after entering and getting into position. It's cute and I'm just curious about it. Has anyone noticed their fuzzballs doing the shimmy? Beth & gang Bandit - "I'm in the bathroom and you can't catch me! HAHAHAHAHA" Sammi - "Hey, where's the treat I stashed under here? Toby, did you take my treat again?!?" Joey - "Mommmmie, Toby stole my Cheweasel again! And you told him not to!" Toby - "Why do I hafta sit up for a treat? You gave Joey one for nuthin'!" Rascal - "How did that toy get out of the hidey hole? Gotta put it back right now!" Rusty - "We've only played chase for a 30 minutes, Mom, you can't possibly be tired already!"
