My ferret, Chuckie, was diagnosed with the adrenal disease last December. She's lost some fur in places, but it often grows back in time. She was projected to live six months without surgery, but she's surpassed that and other than her hair loss and englarged vulva, she seems to be one happy and active fert. Is it possible for a ferret to have the disease and not die from it? My family has debated on whether or not to put her through surgery since she is getting up in years and our money is really tight. She seems fine though. [Posted in FML issue 2489]
