Hope all fuzzies are well and my prayers and thoughts with the ones that are ill or have passed on. Please hold their little ears if they are in ear shot. Since there have been numerous postings on people traveling and not being able to take the little ones with them I decided to go through the yellow pages and call the airlines to see what the regulations are for ferrets, domesticated household pets.....to be carried on board: .. AMERICAN: Dogs, cats, birds on board. Specifically said no pot bellied pigs.Said nothing about cargo. CONTINENTAL: Dogs, cats, birds and yes POT BELLIED PIGS. Go figure. DELTA: Dogs, cats, birds. Ferrets in cargo only. USAIRWAYS: Dogs, cats, birds and any household pets. Ferrets in cargo only. UNITED: Dogs, cats, birds. Ferrets in cargo only. What infuriates me is that a "pot bellied pig" (no flames please from the pot bellied pig lovers) can be a carry on over the less than 4lb fuzzy. Really don't know what kind of logic the airline uses in determining these guidelines. Anyway, these are what I have come up with concerning the airlines at the GREATER PITTSBURGH INT'L AIRPORT. On a lighter note, while having Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup the other nite my Taz nearly attacked me to get at the soup. Never in my life would I think that she would like this.I actually felt safe eating this in front of her. So I gave her about 4 tbsps mixed with some water and she wolfed it down so fast and had the nerve to ask for seconds. I just refrigerated what broth was left over and give her some every once in a while. Now I know what I can give her should she become ill (isn't that what you should eat anyway when not feeling well?) Hug those fuzzies. Jackie & Taz [Posted in FML issue 2503]
