Hi, everyone. I'm a first time poster. I've been lurking for a couple of days and decided it's time to say hello to everyone. Unfortunately, I have to start with a Rainbow Bridge story. My first ferret, Furry, was a MF ferret. She was an adorable albino who was just absolutely tiny. About a month ago she started throwing her food on the floor instead of eating, which of course overjoyed her barking buddy. She started being kind of lethargic. I took her to the vet and they didn't find anything. So me and my boyfriend decided maybe she was lonely. I was given another MF female albino by someone who just didn't want her anymore. The two hit it off great. Furry seemed to perk up for a while. And Fuzzy was just the most adorable thing. But Furry still wasn't eating. My boyfriend and I had a disagreement and he wasn't around for a couple days. Well without her daddy, Furry got ten times worse. Daddy came home after I called in hysterics, and we took her to the vet asap(which unfortunately was the next day). The vet found a lump in her belly and went in for exploratory surgery hoping to find that she had just swallowed something. The vet found a lump in her intestines that she said looked like cancer. I decided that I didn't want my baby to suffer anymore, so she never got to wake up. My rottweiler hasn't been the same since, especially since fuzzy won't bite his nose no matter how much he begs. He even helped dad dig the hole, and stands guard when he is outside. I cried for days, and so did her dad. We all miss her very much. But on a happier note, we did have another fert enter our lives. He is a five year old fixed/descented male, who could really just care less about what is going on around him. He isn't full of energy like our Fuzzy, but he goes nuts once in a while. He was an I-don't-have-time-for-him giveaway. The vet says he seems to be in good health. But I've noticed that when he gets excited he gets the hiccups? Should I be worried about this? I'd love to know if there are any FMLers from the Toledo, Oh area out there. Thanx, Bobbi Fuzzy-Now listen here old man, I was here first and I get the box. You sleep in that hat. Homer-I'm bigger than you and I'll just sleep in mo's bed, when she's not looking of course. Sebastian(dog)- Somebody bite my nose, PLEEEAAAASSSSE? [Posted in FML issue 2471]
