Hi, I posted last week about my sick pumpkin, who had the runs, was vomiting, and severely dehydrated.( I wouldn't post anonymously but I live somewhere that has a stupid "ferrets are illegal" law.) That same night my friend helped me get him to a vet (she's an exotics specialist, has 5 ferrets of her own). Poor baby had to have surgery because he'd eaten a piece of foam rubber--the vet said normally he would've been able to break it down but he has a case of heliobacter, so that complicated everything. So he was in the hospital for about two days. Now he's home with us, eating chicken baby food, and taking 3 meds. His spirits are good and in fact he wants to get out and do a lot of running around--we're trying to have him take it easy more or less. I just wanted to give an update since some nice people posted to the list asking about him. Thanks. [KC] [Posted in FML issue 2396]
