I am writing in hope that someone out there can enlighten me on this
subject. Recently, one of my personal ferrets went in for Adrenal Surgery.
His gland was very enlarged and wrapped around the vina cava. The doctors
considered it to be inoperable and closed him up.

He went to the best hospital in Ontario for the surgery and I trust them,
but what I don't understand is the treatment. He was given 1 mg tablets of
Melatonin for his condition. It seems that a new study shows that Melatonin
works in relieving the Adrenal symptoms, but does not prolong their lives.

Has anyone herd of this treatment? Has anyone seen improvement? One of the
FAST member's ferrets is also on Melatonin and she is seeing no improvement.
I haven't seen any either.

The study or trial began in Wisconsin about a year ago. If there is anyone
with more information on Melatonin for Adrenal Disease, I'd like to hear
from you :o)
