Being quite good at lurking and not participating, I totally missed the
chance to post on the shelter FML. I thought that it might be a good idea
to tell you all about myself first anyway.

I started my fostering about 7 or 8 months ago. I was a little disapointed
since I really felt that there weren't ferrets out there for me to take in.
(Boy, have I learned a lot since then!) With the help of a nearby breeder,
who is always there when I need advice, I have been aprroved by the GLFA as
my own ferret shelter!

I call my humble place The FuzzButt Hut. I run everything out of my own
home and realize that my space is limited. I love each and every ferret
that comes in my door and always feel a little sad when they leave. I feel
that I have really found my calling in life, and I couldn't be happier with
my decision.

I am quite picky when placing ferrets, especially if the person looking to
adopt has never owned any. I try to educate them and make sure it's right
for them.

Well, I think that covers the basics. Feel free to email and ask questions!
I have many ferrets available for adoption right now. There are actually a
couple of young females that need homes. (Approx 12 weeks old) Of course,
there are some older ones that are especially sweet! What the heck, I love
them all!

By the way, I'm located in West Michigan, if anyone is interested.
