Yes,we made it through the pet fair, and we're all still here, fuzzy and human. Thanks to my husband for carrying the heavy stuff,no not the fuzzies.I think we helped a few people learn about ferrets, and a few learn what a rodent is,ie ferret food. The fuzzies were good little ambassadors,as always.Valentine even bestowed a few kisses, mostly to kids.Don't know if he likes kids or what they eat.Now Mini next door in the new shelter booth definitely did not play fair. She brought babies, and all day I had to tell myself no more right now.Not till all our health problems are cleared up and paid for. Then I saw my husband holding a baby,uh oh.We were strong and still have just what we went with. Mine really wanted to go swimming in the pond exhibit, maybe it was the goldfish in the pond,or the hot weather outside. We kept our cool so to speak.Did you know that llamas are allergic to ferrets? We introduced our female to one,and it sneezed.Did it again a second time we tried. We tried one more time with a different llama, and yes,the same result.Taz,our youngest, met a talking llama and just stared at it,wouldn't move or even blink. He wasn't shivering,he just was totally flabbergasted. He must have thought about that close encounter for a while, because he looked deep in thought for quite a bit of time.Well hopefully the general public are now better educated about ferrets.
