Sorry I haven't posted an update for a couple of days. Things are *REALLY* hectic around here. We are still waiting for the results on the biopsies that were done. Those ferrets with tumors are recovering nicely, and are temporarily living in a home with a vet tech. Sure hope to get the results back soon. Corporate donations are coming in. I'd like to thank the following: Mr. Rodrick Robertson, President of Great Eastern Pet Foods Inc., Cambridge, MA, and his area sales rep., Ms. Linda Buote, who I understand was the great mover in getting all of these donations put together. Great Eastern supplied over 165 lbs. of Totally Ferret food, 400 lbs. of Pestell litter, 60 lbs. of Nutro Max Cat Kitten Food, and 5 bags of Gentle Touch litter. Mr. Trevor Russwurm got the ball rolling. He's with Pestell Group in New Hamburg, Ontario. Mr. Rick Celentano is with Nutro Products Inc., City of Industry, CA. Special thanks to Pets Choice of Merrimack, NH who coordinated the effort and delivered the supplies. We are starting to receive donations from individuals across the US and Canada, but I don't have their permission to list them individually, so I'll just say "Thank you for all of your help. It is greatly appreciated." We still need money to pay for the upcoming surgeries. I'm hoping that the vet bills will be *only* in the neighborhood of $2000, but realize it might be much higher. Every dollar will help. Cash donations can be made to: Cocheco Valley Humane Society 262 Country Farm Road Dover, NH 03820 Thanks everyone. Dick B. [Posted in FML issue 2344]
