Could I remind FMLer's in the UK that it is the National Ferret Fair on Sunday, 17th May. The event is being held at The Haberdashers Arms, Knighton, Staffordshire (5 miles north of Newport, Salop). Approaching Knighton from the south on the M6 leave at J10a taking the M54 towards Telford, leave the M54 at J3 head towards Newport on the A41. Approx. 1 mile past the 3rd roundabout on the Newport by-pass turn right at the crossroad and head towards Knighton. The Haberdashers Arms is on the left. Entrance to the show/camping field is just before the pub. From the north on the M6 leave at J15, take the A5182 to the A53 heading towards Market Drayton at Loggerheads turn left onto the B5026 towards Eccleshall, turn right onto an unclassified road towards Fairoak the right turn off towards Knighton is approx. 3 miles. The Haberdashers Arms is on the right. Judging for rosettes and Challenge Trophies. Classes are: Hobs:- Albino, Polecat, Sandy, Coloured & Veteran. Jill:- Albino, Polecat, Sandy, Coloured & Veteran. Personality/Disabled and Working Pair. Entries from 09.30, 75 pence per class, judging begins at 11.00. Ferret racing:- Individual and team events. Cash prizes. Ferret related sales tables. Arrive at the show ground on Saturday and camp or caravan overnight.
