The Ferret Information Rescue Shelter & Trust Society is pleased to announce the "Ferret Fun Frolic," to be held during the Great Canadian Pet Fair on 23rd April, 3:00 pm at the Plaza of Nations in Vancouver. The "Frolic" will consist of various fun events intended to show the public the ferret's engaging personality and how ferrets interact with their owners. Registration starts at 2:00 pm and participation requirements are one or more ferrets accompanying each human. The event shall be opened by Vancouver City Councillor Nancy Chiavario, a friend of ferrets. Councillor Chiavario has sat on Council for several years, has actively supported animal welfare issues, and has been responsible for changes to policies and by-laws to the benefit of pets and their owners. She currently chairs the "Domestic Animal Committee" of the City of Vancouver in addition to her other civic and regional responsibilities. Please note that this is a fun event and not a ferret "show." There will be prizes for everyone as long as supplies last.
