Recently the shelter we were involved with underwent a change. All the shelters' ferrets had to be divided up between the members' homes. Since the director will not be on hand to screen people who would want to adopt a ferret, I'm wondering if anyone on this list operates a shelter the way we are now doing it and if you would have ideas of the kinds of questions that should be asked of perspective ferret parents. I'm fostering twin DEW'S who are deaf and who both have a cauliflower ear. They need special care. I'm really concerned that if they come up for adoption that they go to the kind of people who will keep them and love and care for them. If anyone can help us out with what kinds of questions to ask, we'd be grateful... Thanks, Jim [Posted in FML issue 2301]
