I posted a warning/question about this to APF as well an didn't get any sort of response. Since the thread showed up here as well, I'll post my question/warning here as well. What sort of concern should one have about allowing your ferret to ingest toothpaste? All fluoridated toothpaste carries a warning that if you 'swallow more than you'd use for brushing' to immediately contact a POISON CENTER. Now I realize that a ferret isn't going to necessarily eat the stuff (although I'm sure some would), but considering that they're on average about 1/75 our size, a little could go a long ways. Given the sensitivity of the ferret digestive system, is this really a good training 'tool?' -Erin... [Posted in FML issue 2300]
