On July 25, 1998, a ferret veterinary symposium will take place, sponsored by the AFA and Merical, and held in conjunction with the American Veterinary Medicine Association convention. Here's some basic information for you and to give to your veterinarians. Sometimes the latest news about techniques and treatments is presented for the first time at this conference, and vets learn a lot just talking to each other. It's well worth it. As per Sally Heber, AFA President, non-veterinarians can attend at the technician price but please be forewarned that material presented is on a level for veterinarians. The symposium web page URL is: www.ferret.org/vetsymp.htm The registration form is a link off of that page. You can also access it through the AFA homepage: American Ferret Association, Inc. http://www.ferret.org/ The page contains the agenda, faculty and short bios for each, the location, prices, etc. If you have any further questions about the conference, call the AFA at their toll free number (1-888-FERRET-1) or email them at [log in to unmask] You may also e-mail Vickie McKimmey for a snail mail registration form at [log in to unmask] Registration prices go up after 5/1/98.
