Anne McCaffery must like ferets!
 
In her book, DRAGONSDAWN, the 'settlers' to the newly colonized  planet
Pern, have brought a number of Earth animals with them, including the
ferret.
 
I have oft said that being owned by a ferret is very much like being
impressed by a dragon....Heh..you would have to be a DRAGONRIDER fan to
understand what that means.
 
Anywho...Anne McCaffery has to be a ferret's pet!
