On the front page of the local section in this morning's paper is an endearing photograph of Snapper, the ferret, who has been missing from her Punta Gorda, Florida, home since September 11, 1996. Snapper's mom hasn't given up hope that she's still alive and will fly anywhere to get her. Two days after the disappearance two teen-age boys tried to sell a ferret to a local pet shop on their way north. Snappers description: small sable, pink nose with a couple of freckles, 2 little blue tatooed dots in one of her ears, 5 1/2 years old, missing one fang, likes to store little tubes of face cream. If anyone knows what became of Snapper, please let me know. As the paper stated, Snapper's mom loves her the same way dog lovers and cat lovers love their pets.
