I know folks who have/are facing this situation with their fuzzies. Some live in ferret free zones, some live in rentals who don't know that they have ferrets or how many. Everyone needs to be concerned with the current accepted guidelines. As for the woman who is contacting organizations, perhaps you could let me know who it is privately so that we could co-odinate our efforts? I am not sure if the NWFO will be involved with the humane groups, at first anyway, but would like to keep abreast of what is going on. I see that as one of the major problems with the ferret community, too much politics or personal agendas. The need to form opposing camps seems to out weigh the desire to help ferrets. And to me, that is very sad indeed. As I have said, I am not trying to be first with info, or to outdo anyone. I will gladly work with anyone whose main goal is helping ferrets and who wants to help. I am not doing this for my own glory. I just don't see anyone else who is trying and have been asked repeatedly to do this. So I am. Until I can con...er ah talk someone else into it. ;-) Mo' Maggie [Posted in FML issue 2238]
