The reason for the use of the two is that iso takes a while to take complete
effect soemtimes 20 minutes if the ferret is a little more resistant than
average.  Ket helps the process along putting them under quicker (thus
making the procedure quicker) and then Iso keep them sedated for the entire
procedure.  I don't kow the safety issues of ket on ferrets but nearly every
"ferret-knowledgeable" person I know says that only iso should be used.
