The North West Jersey Ferret Association in conjunction with the Ferret Association of Connecticut, Inc., is having a "Ferret Education Day". The date is April 25, 1998 and it runs from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Place: First Aid Squad Building, WIllis Ave., Ogdensburg, NJ Ogdensburg is located next to Sparta, approximately 15 min. from Rt 80, 5 min. from Rt 15, 5 min from Rt 23. Easy to get to from NYC-approximately 1 hr. from GW Bridge. Sessions include: 1. General Care and Handling, 2. Behavior and Mis-behavior, 3. Health Issues and Concerns, 4. The Geriatric Ferret. Each session is 1 1/2 hrs. long. The cost for each session is $15 or all four classes for $45. Two persons may take all four classes for $80. (FACT and NWJFA members may deduct 10%) Registration is limited and closes on April 18, 1998. The seminars will be given by Ann and Vanessa Gruden, FACT shelter directors. They both have years of experience with fuzzies from kits to grandmas & grandpas, all types of ferret maladies and different methods of handling all ferret personality types and disorders. Not only will the ferret ed day be interesting and a way to meet other ferret people, it will also benefit BOTH the FACT & NWJFA shelters. Please come out and support our effort!
