Hello everyone. It's been quiet from "Behind The Zion Curtain" for a while, so I thought the boys and I would let you know, as my son puts it "Whazzup?" I have an intelligent "water weasel." Pato and Hubert had their baths the other night after the cage cleaning expedition. We noticed Snowball "disappeared". Well, this is not entirely unusual, so I didn't worry. The next day, I was talking to a friend on the phone and said "Oh there's Snowy, he needs a bath......" Snowy disappeared. I commented to her "It's like he knows what I said...." and she told me of how intelligent her dog was with the "b" word. Well, soon my son came home from work. I hear a bellow....."Mama......Snowy got in my room and knocked over a coke cup and spread that stuff all over my floor. He's skatin' in it! Now I got sticky s**t all over the floor. Here's your weasel!......" The last is said when he dumps the "dirty white boy" on my bed. He's really dirty now, and I said to Andy "Don't say the "B" word to Snowball while I get it ready. Andy, smart aleck 15 year old he is, looks at Snowy, grins and says "What word, Mama, BATH?!" Snowy hauls rump off the bed and disappears again. "Great son, now he won't come out until 11:00 o'clock, and he's a mess." Andy is collapsed with laughter on the bed, rolling around. "I'm sorry Mama, I thought you was kiddin' again with how smart they are! Did you see him haul a** when I said BATH? That was too funny....." Ha ha, son, very funny! "By the way, watch your mouth......" Well, Snowy couldn't resist the "call of the Coke" in Andy's room and went back in again and "skated" some more around the room. What a mess. (Try it sometime. A sticky "large" Coke from McDonalds, one active nosey weasel, and a linoleum floor. It's worth watching......) and we caught him. It was time for the "B" word, and he knew it. Poor baby, you should have seen the face. Anyway, this time I actually headed advice and made it a little warmer than usual (like I would for me and not Ricky Ricardo). I decided to try it and pull him out at the first sign of discomfort on Snowy's part. He LOVED it. He was so surprised! Like, "Hey, this isn't cold, it's fun...." He laid in the tub, his fur floating all around him. He even let me scrub his tail, which was awful. In fact, he stayed in there and didn't want to come out until the water cooled out. Now, he's always trying to get into the tub with me. Go figure..... Catherine, Pato, Snowball and Hubert Behind The Zion Curtain [Posted in FML issue 2220]
