I went to the site and checked out the links.

Found some info I have never heard or have heard the opposite:

* Ferrets see in color: I had always heard they only saw red, all else
  is B/W.
* Ferrets short-sighted: Also I think mine can see a lot further than
suggested. I can be across a room and yell at one of them for something
they should not be doing and they will stop and look at me, not in my
direction, at me... and then continue with what ever they were trying
  to do.
* Two body types: whippet and bulldog: I have experience with the whippet-
both Ootz and Doris are whippets. Possum on the other hand seems to fit
neither category; if she was a human she would be pear shaped. She is as
long as the others but is heavier and tends to spread at the hips.
* Adulthood in 4-6 months: Doris reached her adult size within weeks of
coming home to us. She was almost Ootz's size when she was brought home.
Since she was a present for Valentines day last year I did not get to see
the other babies with her in the store so she may have been an older one
left over from a previous litter. Her bones felt brittle until a couple
of weeks ago. Now except for some slight variation in markings and
undercoat color she is identical to Ootz in size and temperament.
