I'm somewhat new to the mailing list so please bear with me. I've got a 4 month old MF male Sable who is tons of fun; all but 1 of my 5 roommates like him, and that one is just afraid of...well, alot. I thought he was a little lonely, so I stopped by the pet store to grab him a friend...when I walked in I saw they had just gotten a *large* shipment of ferrets in recently (I found out later it was 12)...which is a regular occurence there since they sell really well at that store...but I also noticed that they seemed *incredibly* small...I got Kenda at 8 weeks, so I got a little supsicious... some guy came in and told me they were around 10-12 weeks from their size (being an expert since he owned one before)...I thought he needed his head examined...and I was right; I asked the pet store manager how old they were, and he told me Marshall was now shipping them out at *4* weeks! I couldn't believe it...the little guy I brought home is less than 1/4 Kenda's size... and I may have to take him back 'cuz of that differential...Kenda proceeded to drag him across the entire apt so fast we could barely catch him before he got under the bed. I may be a little new to ferrets, but from what I've heard, isn't 4 weeks *extremely* young? (NOTE : of all the ferrets there, only 2 or 3 *weren't* serious biters... of which my li'l guy is one) ___________________________________________________________________________ "IMAGINATION.
