I have two questions to pose to the list. I am hoping that someone has some
good answers since I have a friend who is pulling out her hair since her
vets seem to be totally clueless and just seem to be out ot scare the
ever-living-shit out of her.

Thanks for the time and answers!

1. Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a viral form of cancer in
ferrets? This would be similar to viral leukemia in cats. Her vet has
mentioned that she might have this, but he doesn't even know if it exists
and she is terrified that she is sitting on a house of dying animals.

2. Does anyone know if there is an anatomical feature in ferrets that would
cause lumps in a ferret neck. My friend has several ferrets who have lumps
in there necks. The vet has not a clue if this could just be normal or if
it is serious and has been trying to do some expensive tests to see what is
going on. This is where he came up with the viral cancer thing.

Thank you again,
Katie
