54 special presents were delivered this year. Not by the man in red but with as much good cheer. They did not come from the North Pole or ever see any snow. But the twinkle in their eyes, tell you they love life so. Mrs Claus arranged this delivery She lives in Jacksonville FL this year. She talked sensibly to a man in Arcadia and 54 special presents were delivered this year. The elves were not dressed in green Though some turned that color when holding their breath during a nasty bite You see these 54 presents Had never had a people filled home before this nite. Mrs Claus asked for no help for herself Requested that others think only of the little ones now But unlike the North Pole where Santa pays no bills, the presents have expensives Mrs Claus only smiled and says she'll handle it some how 54 little presents, 54 little spays,54 little shots, Oh my it adds up to quite a lot Litter and food and bedding too The world needs Mrs Clauses and Mr Clauses too We can't leave them alone To handle all they do I know your pocket is not deep enough For all you wish you could do But maybe togeather We can help see Mrs Claus through.... If you can help cover the expenses involved in arranging the surrender of Mr Reynolds breeding stock to Barbara Ludt, please do what you can. I know there are always way more shelters and non ferret causes that need your help than you can possibly give to. Had Barbara not intervened, these precious twinkling souls would have moved from one breeding farm to another, maybe with better conditions, maybe with worse. They are young and healthy, they would have produced generations of kits to fill the shelter for years to come. Eventually they will start moving from shelters and fosters to homes. But for now, they are warm, out of the weather and learning to love. Barbara have started these babies on the road to getting their holiday wish, there is plenty of room on it for all who can help her walk it. Donations made directly to Barbara Ludt are tax-exempt and should be made out to "S. Florida Ferret Club & Rescue", and sent to Barbara Ludt, PO Box 984, Penny Farms, FL 32079-0984. Barbara is not on the net although quite well wired into it's happenings, any one wishing to send a note of support to her should send it to the above address.
