I was reading our club newsletter and they had 3 letters written by vets for
layman on Insulinoma. In one regarding Islet Cell Tumor ("also know as
insulinoma") it says: Animals with blood glucose levels less than 60 mg/dl
should strongly be suspect of having on or more of these tumors. He does
not mention fasting or anything.

Next letter: The disease is easily diagnosed with a fasting blood sugar
test. You need to withold food for 4 to no more than 6 hours prior to the
test. Normal fasting sugar should be between 90-120. So now I'm confused.
Fast or not fast? 60 or 90-120?

Any help out there? Vets?
