With some breeders ther gentler ferrets genes happen to also pass with certain colors but its coincidence not a specific color thing. Its the same with dogs, cats, ferrets goats and basically all animals we know. Ferrets are domesticated from the European Polecat not the black footed ferret though they are both polecat/weasels. There is also a Siberian or Steppe or Chinese Polecat that looks more like the black footed ferret then the domesticated or European polecat.
