Hello Everyone, I thought since everyone was introducing themselves I might as well do the same. I became a ferret mom this past March of 1997. My boyfriend brought Ferrethead home and he had no intentions of keeping him. Well that's what he thought. He should of known the minute he brought him home he was mine!!!! Well needless to say Ferrethead is still with us. Ferrethead is a 1 1/2 yr. old neutered male silver mitt. This past September 1997, Ferrethead got out through the screen door as I was going to hang laundry on the clothes line....it was getting dark and he crept right by me. I was so devastated and thought I'd never see him again or he may die. Well about 24 hours later in the rain my boyfriend came home and there was Ferrethead sitting on the porch sopping wet waiting for someone to let him in. He also brought home a few friends.........fleas & ticks. Not my most favorite thing in the world to deal with. So off to the vet we went to make sure he was ok. In the meantime while he was out gallivanting and I was praying he would come home to me I was looking for a playmate on the internet. Well I found Barb Carlsons web page and she put me in contact w/ Gina Hart and she put me in contact w/ 3 Ferrets Rescue in Pittsburgh. So I called and they had 2 that were not to be separated. Well needless to say that's where I got chloe and Jerry. Chloe is an albino of about 3 years old she is a spayed female. Jerry is a Black sable spayed female that is about 2. Well now we had playmates of an odd number and sometimes we had one that was left out at playtime. So Gina told me Barb had another ferret, So I emailed her and picked up Champ about 2 weeks later. He is an albino neutered male. A big boy!! I call him my little fat boy and he just waddles over to me!! So now we have four little monsters terrorizing the house besides our 3 year old!! And I love these fuzzy butts just as if they were my kids. You can see them at http://members/tripod.com/~rodjones/ferrethead2.html See you all later.. Kelly and her fuzzbutt crew!
