This post is in response to Alegandro, >Would it be safe? Is there someone outhere withe daschounds and ferrets >that could tell me their experiences. Alegandro, I have a mini-doxie, as well as a yellow lab, deer tick hound, and miniture greyhound...all my dogs are ferret friendly. When you asked in your post is it safe? Well for who? The doxie or the fert? :-) Snipper (the mini-doxie) was purchased as a very young puppy. He came into my house with fuzzbutts, (as yours would do). Sweetpea, the mini italian greyhound, was also brought in as a baby. They think they are ferrets...... The pups play with the fuzzies, chase them around, and when barking, think they are dooking I assume! Anyway, I believe your advantage here is the fact that the puppy would be a pup. If anything, I'd watch the fuzzies with the puppy, and NOT leave them alone together until your sure that the *fuzzies* will get along with the puppy! It's been awhile since I posted, - have been really busy, but am trying to keep up with the fml's and happenings. Wanted to introduce the newest addition to my family, - Robbie, whom Slinky the Moondancer surprised me with at the Frederick Show last weekend. He is, without a doubt, a honeydoll, a beautiful little girl who's trying desparately to be a blaze. Pretty little white face, with diamond eyes...She accompanies me when I'm out and about, sleeping peacefully in her carrier. At home she's h*() on wheels! The Frederick show was wonderful! Dayna, thank you for showing me your brand new baby, and all the wonderful pictures and stories! It was truely a delight to finally meet you and you are as wonderful in person as you are on the fml! Kymberlie Becker, a good friend I had only known over the net, - well I finally got to meet her too! Kymmie is WONDERFUL and unfortunately, when we see each other at another show, she'd best leave Shadow at home.....I fell in love with her baby, and carried him around for a good part of the time I was there, trying to figure an escape route to the car! He is a darling, just as his mommy. Thanks Bill Killian, for explaining the qualifications of a show fert..Your patience is commendable! And nice meeting both you and Diane! Sorry, Bill, the post is so long! Karen & Manna ('hoomans) Robbie, Bubba, Hopps, Daisy & Samantha (fuzzies) Clarice, Bandit, Sweetpea and Snipper and the 7 lil' pigs! [Posted in FML issue 2160]
