The "Ferret Information Rescue Shelter & Trust Society" of British Columbia, also known as "FIRST (Ferret) Society," wishes to announce the appointment of the following Executive Directors at its recent Annual General Meeting: Karl Brodhecker - President; James Anthony, DVM - Vice-President; Blakely Burgess - Secretary; Jason Coull - Treasurer. Special advisors are Ann Gillis, DVM (Medical); Michael Weeks (Welfare and Fund-raising); and Alexander & Company (Legal). FIRST is the only charitable society in Canada devoted wholly to promoting the health and welfare of ferrets and the interests of their owners. Over the past year, FIRST has provided complete medical care and found excellent homes for over seventy ferrets.
