Hello everyone, I agree with Sheri's posting. I think that with the horror in Spokane we really need to have some positive thoughts here to balance the evil. I'm happy to introduce or re-introduce myself and my ferrets! We (the ferrets, the cats, the dogs--and my husband and I) live in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada--a windy, cold, but peaceful and friendly place. And besides, I like wind and cold (really!). The ferrets are the lights of our lives. We love our other animals, but ferrets have a way of taking over the spots of our hearts that no other animal can reach. Sam is a lovely, healthy, 2 year old silver mitt whose biggest joy is to sleep in one of the dresser drawers. He rotates among all four drawers and likes to sleep on his back with his paws held up and curled under (or with a paw on either side of his face). Sally is a beautiful, bouncy sable, also healthy. We think she is under a year old. Her favourite toy is a crinkle sock--and thanks to whomever suggested using the bag from a Corn Flakes box; my husband stuffed this into an old sock and she goes crazy over it. She drags it upstairs. Then she drags it downstairs. Then she drags it upstairs again. Then she hides it under her favourite chair. Sally has a tattoo in her ear that looks either like a 3 or an M with a rounded top; does anyone know where this would come from? I'm looking forward to reading more stories about our sweeties. I think my all-time favourite was the one where someone's ferret was mistaken for a mongoose! Amy and Alan Sam and Sally (ferts); Tom, Ben, Anna (cats); Zipper and Kenji (dogs) R.I.P.
