In response to those who have posted about insurance companies dropping them or refusing to insure them because of ferret ownwership, I would like to suggest the following: Have you considered filing a formal complaint with the State Insurance Commissioner? This is the person who licenses and regulates all insurance companie operating in the state. While the Commissioner might not force the companies to change their policies (although he does have the power to do so) it is very likely that the Commissioner will ask them to show the statistical data which forms the basis of their belief that ferrets are a significant risk than other small pets. Just a suggestion. [Posted in FML issue 2144]
