I was reading the various postings re: fert food and ended up totally confused when I read: "Totally Ferret- Protein(36%), Fat(22), Fiber(1.5), Ash(6.5), Magn(.09) First 3 ingredients: poultry by-prod meal, rice flour, poultry fat. (Recommended for kits and adults)" Here in South Western Ontario, I have been unable to find a supplier of Totally Ferret food so have been feeding my two little guys "EUKANUBA Chicken and Rice formula for Cats". Now as far as I have always understood, the protien and fat content of the food should derive as much as possible from meat (chicken) and it's by-products. Thus I was shocked to read the analysis of Totally Ferret compared to the analysis of the Eukanuba as follows: Protein not less then 34% Crude fat not less then 21% Crude fiber not more then 2.5% Ash not more then 7% Magnesium not more then 0.0965% Ingredients in order: CHICKEN, CHICKEN LIVER, cHICKEN BY-PRODUCT MEAL,RICE FLOUR CHICKEN BY-PRODUCTS, FISH MEAL, CORN GRITS and CHICKEN FAT Please let me know if I am wrong (no flames please) but for all of it's great buildup, Totally Ferret is not any better then EUKANUBA.
