Another useful way to connect tunnels and other homemade items to your cage are looseleaf rings. This items are available at many office supply companies and resemble single rings from a notebook. They are hinged on one side and designed to lock closed on the other. In fact, when I looked closely at a ferret toy at the pet store of the frisbee lined with fleece variety it used these same rings.
