Hey folks - My 2.5 yr-old male MF ferret Pogo has thinning hair on his tail, which appears to have gotten a little thinner over the past 5-6 days. This was first noticed at the posterior part of his tail - you could see its tip clearly through the surrounding hairs. I know that if it starts at the base of his tail its an indication of an adrenal tumor, and I also know this is the start of shedding season. Is this an indication of any- thing I should know about? Worth a vet trip? Or just a coat shed? Behavior is normal in all respects; no lethargy, and apetite appears to be fine. Thanks for the help. Best - Mason, Slinky, Pogo, and Leila the cat (who wonders what good that little tail is anyways, so why worry?) [Posted in FML issue 2072]
