<Help shut down the Granite City, IL breeder> Hi everybody, I haven't posted for a while and thought now would be the perfect opportunity. I feel so totally helpless here in CA, but I think even from this far away, we can help with the IL ferrets. Margie is a wonderful person and I know her heart breaks everytime she has to go into what she calls "Robin's Nest". The condition of the ferrets that she has to leave behind when she bails a few of them out is horrendous and she knows she can only take a few at a time. We went to yard sales on Saturday morning and today after I washed all the blankets and sleepers that we bought, my husband cut down the blankets ferret size and hemmed them. The blankies will be going priority mail first thing in the morning. They should be there for the next batch. We also will have a 40# bag of TF delivered to Margie's address, so she can feed all the ferrets while they are at their temporary stay with Margie. I know Margie still needs money to bail out the rest of the ferrets and I hope the ferret community will be as generous for these poor creatures as they were when they rallied together for Kodo's cause. Why not make a donation in Kodo's memory? BTW, one of the first ferrets she bailed out will be mine (Baby Lami) in memory of my poor Lami that died exiled from his home in CA, in Margie's arms because I couldn't be there for him. Margie had been taking care of my Lami and Sid for me and Sid is still with her and in excellent condition. Margie has a heart of gold and she knows that we miss our ferrets very much, that's why she found Baby Lami for me. Please everybody, help as much as you can. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Ilona, Ferretless in CA [P.S.] Sorry, I have to post a correction. I just tried to order the TF and realized I made a mistake. I guess the biggest bag TF comes in is 30#. So we'll be sending a 30# bag to Margie. Can you guys tell I haven't had ferrets in almost two years? :( Ilona, Ferretless in CA (Soon to move out of state, we are tired of being ferretless and waiting for CA to get off their butts.)
