Hello, everyone! I am getting out of "lurk mode" to post a little question! (the reason I lurk so much is cause I'm on two ferret lists and I don't want to cross post by accident.) (also I make many typing errors.) I noticed in the last issuse I received that someone... let's see... Alicia Drakiotes had a shelter ferret, June, who has an enlarged spleen but is receiving treatment. I took Janice, my (not so ) baby ferret to the vet to get her shot and the vet said her spleen was a little big but it wasn't anything to be concerned about... (meaning, where it should have been about as big around as my pinky it was as big as my thumb. but it wasn't elongated or anything, just thick.) SHOULD I be concerned? I lost one ferret recently either to heat or a reaction to her vaccine (either way I feel very guilty about it) and I don't want to lose Janice because of something I should be doing. I miss Prospero dancing and playing and chasing Janice, and I don't think I could handle it if Janice were gone, never to run away backwards from the laundry basket or make a flying leap and latch onto my calves again. Can anyone tell me what I should do? Christine and Janice --> "Quit examining me, mom, and quit keeping me from getting into that box o' chocolate you got for your birthday! Don't _I_ deserve a chocolate peanut, mom? Pleeeeeeez?" [Posted in FML issue 2062]
