Hello Everyone, I talked to Dr. Bruce Williams world renowned ferret expert this evening. And he said he thinks Ferrethead has just expierenced a very bad trauma while out on his little venture into the "Great Outdoors". To try and get him up to play frequently throughout the day and to give him lots of TLC. He thinks when I get my new ferrets that he will perk up a little. He told me to stop the antibiotic as there is really no reason for it. He's eating, drinking, no bloody stools, gums are pink, no temperature, urinating and pooping fine, no coughing or sneezing, just very inactive at the moment. Why treat something that isn't there. As far as the mites he said to clean the ears daily with Odiclense and put the tresaderm in once a day one drop in each ear. then stop the tresaderm for a week , start it again for a week and stop it again this should clear up the ear mites. But continue to clean the ears with the Odiclense at least once every couple of weeks after the mites are gone. I am to wash him with the flea and tick soap my vet gave me, this will take care of the mites on his body. And finally get him his distemper shot. Kelly [Posted in FML issue 2078]
