After 5 years, we've been struck!! Picked up a 14 week old yesterday after keeping an eye on her for 3 weeks now. Pet store had her on sale and noone was taking her home, so, of course, we had to. Sooooo rambunctious! How quickly you forget all the time and energy required when you have nothing but adults at home, but we're lovin' it. Also, stopped in Petco here on Long Island, New York. They also sell ferrets. Sold a female that morning and a male was being sold while we were there checking conditions (which were pretty good by the way). Salespeople were very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and loving toward the little guy in there. The one salesgirl had 3 ferrets of her own at home. Problem was the sign on the age said they live up to 12 years and are active at night. Salesgirl was surprised too, but didn't think she could change it. Maybe we on the list can contact someone and at least have that corrected for the future. Anyone with an idea as to how? Oh and with regard to math .... vet called today .... found a very young ferret left in box at entrance to hospital this morning - went and checked her out - sweet temperment - uh oh! I said I would foster care until a home is found, but, well you know, once they come home with you ......... Dooks to all, Samone, Bear, Gizmo, Munchie and ? [Posted in FML issue 2038]
