Hi all, I have two ferrets, one is about 5 months and the other about 4 months old. The older one (male) is extremely well behaved, never nips or bites, even cuddles with me once in a while! The other one, however, is a little terror at times (she has earned the nickname "the White Witch"). I have been working on training her not to nip or bite, and I have used the method of scruffing her, with my hand for minor nips, and with my teeth for when she really misbehaves. This has worked wonderfully! She rarely nips me now, even when we are rough-housing. However, everyone else is still fair game. How can I teach her not to nip other people? I've been working with her and some of my friends, and they will say NO and scruff her, but still she'll bite them. At this rate none of my friends will come back to visit! And I have no idea what she would do with strangers. Any ideas? THANX! Jackie and Rafael (mum, she won't let me sleep!) and Rachel (play play play play play play play lick lick CHOMP!)
