Hello Fellow Ferret Lovers: To the ferretnapper (re: Big News in Michigan) - way to go! While I don't condone breaking the law - this is an innocent furkid that was rescued. We were travelling by ferry and had two cats in the camper below decks. Shortly after the ferry left for it's two hour trip I checked on my girls, one of them had become extremely motion-sick. I grabbed the carrying case and both cats to bring them to the upper level and fresh air - I was stopped by security and told that it was against the rules for me to take the cats to the upper levels. I explained the problem - that one of the cats was very ill, wouldn't be removed from her cage, and needed fresh air now! So sorry, his forceful reply, but you can't do that. Needless to say the girls got their fresh air and were fine although the security guard looked as though he wanted to throw me overboard. Indeed, that's what he would have had to do if he had attempted to separate me and my cats. It was only a minor altercation:> Long-winded story, but sometimes the right thing to do doesn't always comply with the rules. Lick, lick, lick....whenever they (ferretkids) can get near a bar of soap (no flavor preferences)....has me thinking - does soap have laxative properties and that's why ferrets have a penchant for licking soap bars, soap in showers? Remembering Kodo, Jean and her sweetheart ferrets Katy and Sasha, Baxter the dog, and Tiffany, Teca and Madeline the Girl Cats. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Everything that lives Lives not alone Nor for itself" William Blake ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Posted in FML issue 2005]
