Hello all. A short while ago there were some postings about ants and how to eliminate them. I told my husband about it and now that we need it, neither one of us can remember what it was. Little red ants seem to like the dog food and the ferret food that we have sitting out. We keep changing the place of the bowls but we certainly cannot get rid of them (the bowls that is) because our fuzzy friends have this nasty habit, as do we humans, we need to eat. What was this stuff that you people use to discourage ants? Was it coffee grounds or baking soda or something? Please let me know whatever it is. Where do you put it, how much and how often do you change it? Because of our dog and 9 fuzzies, it can't be toxic in any way. Please let me know privately because I know that this topic has already been dealt with plus I am hopelessly behind again and I need to know right now as opposed to when I can read the FML. You can tell when I am behind because you never hear from me unless I need something. When I am caught up I post on a regular basis. No matter how behind I get though, I always read every digest. I never erase them until I'm done. This newsgroup is the best. Any help in ridding our house of these creepy crawlers would be appreciated. By the way, I once heard that mint is supposed to ward them off because ants don't like it but it doesn't work for little red ants.
