If you are looking for an appropriate name for a fuzzy and don't want to use Loki as so many other people are doing, you might want to use a trickster name from some other culture. We have the African counterpart of Loki in Eshu (or Elegba). Anansi the trickster also comes from Africa. From Japan we have the shape-shifter Kitsune. In ancient Greece the god Hermes was the one who made mischief. From our North American cultures we have Nanabush or Glooskap from the woodland cultures, Coyote from the plains Indians, and the Spider (Inktomi)from the Lakota. And from the Pacific Islands we have what I suspect are three different spellings, or pronunciations of the same names: Io- lofath, Olifat, and Yalafath. On another subject. I once saw Murphy's Laws of Ferrets written somewhere, for instance "If it's edible it will be stashed, if it is inedible it will be eaten." Does anybody have a copy of these that they could post on the FML? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ? _____ ? ?
