>Zucchini was portrayed trying to go home(?) to the "praries". The problem with that book (and movie) is the fact that they are portraying a black-footed ferret, which *does* live in the prairies. However, the animators obviously missed somewhere because he ended up looking like a cross between a squirrel and a fox. He was originally in a zoo in the show/book, but escaped. The most unrealistic is the fact that he is not in a breeding program, but we have to remember that the original book is somewhat old. I'm pretty sure the cartoon is rather old, too. I taped it last year when it was on TV before I even had my ferret. It might have been made (the part with Malcolm Jamal Warner) before ferrets were widely kept as pets. What I found mostly strange was that the live-action ferret was treated as a black-footed ferret instead of a domesticated polecat. I agree that it was mega-confusing. Just wanted to pass along my .02! :o) [Posted in FML issue 1914]
