Hi everyone, This is a last ditch effort to get my ferret to use the litterbox and not the floor. Oso is a 2 yr old male, I've had him 1 yr. (I also have 2 older ferrets who are great with the box). Oso loves to pull the litter box away from the corner, and potty where it was. It doesn't stop there ... he'll potty all over the cage, including next to the food dish and door, and he'll potty regularly around the house - he rarely uses the box. He's one of those wierd ones that drinks his pee. I know he know better. I've tried scolding, praising/treats, spraying Keep Off stuff, keeping the litterbox extra clean, tried different types of litter, cleaning the litterbox while letting the cage floor build up, and putting him back to square 1 in a cardboard box for training. After being in the box for a few days, he'll start to comply, but after being back in the cage for a few days it's all over the floor again. He's been in the box for a week now and has used the litter box twice. He's also fond of nipping small women and children, and an occasional guy. Disposition wise, he's very loving, wants to be held constantly, wants attention constantly, and is very hyper (the older ferrets sleep too much for him). He's a mix breed, looks like a silver with a little albino (he has a snow white patch on neck and red eyes). HELP!!!!! [Posted in FML issue 1914]
