A New England Humane Society turned over to us a ferret found late last week in the Nashua, NH area. If you lost a ferret you can call the 4 Li'l Paws Ferret Shelter at 603-424-2941. Be prepared to describe the ferret (approximate age, sex, color, distinguishing marks, collar/harness, when and where lost.) I really have to commend the New England Humane Society. They kept the ferret until they could contact us on Monday (we were out of touch most of the weekend) and fed him/her Iams Kitten food. We received him/her in excellent condition. While on the subjects of Humane Societies, the Goffstown Humane Society has also been doing a great job with found ferrets, actively seeking information on ferret care and working closely with our shelter. The last ferret turned into them was on its way to our shelter within 15 minutes after they received it. We had a great visit with them. The new shelter manager, a refugee from California, told us that her parents were proud owners of three ferrets themselves. Dick B. [Posted in FML issue 1869]
